Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak deems the next session of the Parliament should begin with establishment of the Temporary Inquiry Commission on preparation of amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine. The Chairman of the Parliament said this during the pres-conference on Thursday.
According to Volodymyr Rybak, this Commission should include representatives from all factions in order to reach agreement with their leaders on Wednesday. He informed also that the issue of establishment of the Commission shall be discussed during the meeting of the Conciliatory Council of faction leaders and committee chairmen on Monday, February 3, this year.
Thereat, the Chairman of the Parliament noted that in order to carry out
the constitutional reform the people’s deputies should attend committees’
meetings. “This is what the work of parliamentarians lies in – to work in the
committees and during session meetings and not to run on maidans,” he
explained, and added that it is extremely necessary “to reach understanding,
make suggestions and come out to people.” “Everyone should perform his/her
functions,” stressed Volodymyr Rybak.
